i'm not sure the best topic title to use, i hope you can understand my question.
right now, my index page is index.php, i would like to not have it show as my front page.
on other servers, i've been able to use index.html, then link that to my index.php, but here i can't seem to name it anything that would show before the index.php
what is the order that the pages show?
is there a list somewhere?
i've tried many names including:
index.htm
index.html
default.asp
no matter what i try, my index.php seems to show.

i know i can always change my code some, and have index.php and index2.php, but i'm lazy, and my way "usually" works, lol

Use FTP order, but the Apache directories allow you to change this
with a click of a button, see the panel saying:
Name Last modified Size Description?
Click on them.
They tend to keep in priority order. Index is the highest priority.

well yes.
all three of those names come before index.php alphabetically, which is why they normally work, but they don't work that way here, which is why i'm asking.
even if you go by the filename only and not the extension, default.asp is before index.php.
