I've recently installed phpbb3 and when I go to any of the addresses that people have told me to I get an error that the page isn't there.

I tried using phpbb2 and even that gave me the same outcome. Please help me!

Oh no problem. And I though it was just me being a dumbass pressing the wrong buttons xD

Any estimation of how long it'll be down for?

I'm having a similar issue "500 Internal Server Error".
Are these outages common at freehostia because I'm starting to rethink upgrading to a paid plan.

The reason for this situation is because we are experiencing some high flood on our servers and this causes a temporal overload of our servers. Our system administrators are currently working on this issue to solve it permanently as soon as possible. Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused to you and thank you for the understanding.

Unfortunately we are not able to give any deadline when the problem will be resolved permanently.

I have been having the same issues but will wait patiently for it to be fixed. It has seemed a lot quicker and stable today.
