They're called "GC Boards v3.0 BETA" and beware, they're nothing like an IBP, HailBoard, phpBB, etc.

GC Boards v3.0 BETA
A lot more then v2.2, finally starting to clean up and look a lot nicer, security is also getting tighter. Only a beta so expect the odd error, but there won't be nothing that effects the actual system really.

I'd ask the users there to help but they're just a bunch of assholes and I've found users here at FH to be far too kind to reject for the hell of it. I'm also no good at MySQL, PHP, etc.

Requirements
1. WinZip or a .zip extractor of your choice.
2. Your own site and FTP access to it.
3. An FTP Program to connect to your site with.
4. Support for PHP and MySQL on your site.
5. Site must also support PHP's mail() function.
6. You must have the ability to use an FTP client.

Instructions:
1. Open up whatever DiscoBoard/GC Board/prappl DB zip file you have with WinZip (or your zip extractor of choice). Once it is open extract all the files in it to a temporary folder somewhere on your computer.

2. Open up your FTP program and connect to your site. Once connected, upload all the files that you extracted to the temporary folder on your computer. Now open up the .htaccess file and add the following line to the bottom of it:
php_flag register_globals on
If you cannot find the .htaccess in the boards directory using your ftp client you need to go into it's options and enable the showing of hidden files.

3. Once all the files have been uploaded, using your FTP edit the settings.php file uploaded to your site. Make sure you go through the whole file and edit every setting to your boards needs. Every variable has a description of what it does above it...Read the description to find out what you need to input into the variable. One thing I will say is for $MySQLServer usually "localhost" will work 99% of the time.

4. Now that you have the files uploaded and your settings file updated, go to http://www.yoursite.com/boardslocation/ ... tabase.php once that page loads you will see a textbox. Leave this browser window open and open up the folder support (or sql depending on which DiscoBoard you are using) and then open up database-tables.sql with notepad. Copy everything in that file and paste it in the textbox on the setup-database.php page in your browser. Now click process query.

5. Now that you have setup the database tables data you need to insert some information into it. On your computer where you extracted all the files go back into the support (or sql) folder and open up database-data.sql and copy everything in that file and then paste it into the text box in the setup-database.php file in your browser. And click Process Query. Once this finishes all your SQL data is inserted and your boards are ready to use.

6. Register an account on the board system. This account will be used to for anything the system does. Now once your account is registered go to http://www.yoursite.com/boardslocation/setup.php and enter the username of the user you just registered into it. And click upgrade. This just made that account an administrator. On the later versions of GC Boards if the username entered isn't the very first user registered on the boards, it will not upgrade them.

7. Now you are an administrator and your boards are ready to use. To start making boards click on the Administration link in the main menu bar and when your administration panel comes up click on manage board structure, it is pretty straight forward from there.

If you honestly think you can this, post here and I'll PM you my account details. :)

Are you using paid hosting? I don't think you can use that function if you're using free hosting, if I remember right...

Well does set up work the same as phpBB? I set up phpBB fine and if it's basically the same then I could probably do this for you. At the same time, phpBB 3 is really nice and I'd really suggest using that unless there's something about GC Boards that makes it significantly different/better...

I'll try setting it up though and see if I can get it, then I'll post here again if I can ;)

You're not able to use a "mail()" function with a free host but GC's have been setup with Free Hostia before.

GC Boards:
http://boards.sbdesigning.com/index.php
http://boards.nsgstation.com/index.php
http://united-et.com/gsboards/index.php
http://boards.ign.com/

The above boards are just examples so if I have violated any posting rules, I'm very sorry. :? If you're willing, though... I'll make another Free Hostia account to test a phpBB 3. Can I add a mod where I can edit a users postcount and it show up as the edited amount? :!:
