I wanted to know what was the proper way to install Wordpress so that when i visit my website it accesses the blog directly.
However, when installing using the Elefante Free Scripts option it does not allow me to install it without typing a directory name.
Help?

Well done for getting it installed :) Just so you know for future reference, i belive that if you put a / in the box for the folder it will install to the root.

Hi,

Thanks for helping. This is my first site.

I installed WP to the server in a folder named blog in the root directory. I did this using a service offered by my hosting account, a one click install.

I followed that You Tube video then and saved my html pages as php pages with the php at the start of each page creating a template for each one.

Is this way off?

Please open a trouble ticket regarding this issue. Then we will be able to assist you. This can be done via the "Help Center" menu of your Control Panel.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
