Interesting ay. If it does work through a proxy website then it is possible it is his ISP that is blocking freehostia for some reason.

Can you also ask your friend to try going to the following (without a proxy):

http://freehostia.com
http://forum.freehostia.com

Then we can limit it down to accessing freehostia or just your account.

Just for your interest, this is the message that I've sent to my friend.

I've had some responses from my server guys and they are very interested to find out what is going on.
It seems that your IP address is not blocked by them but your ISP may be blocking access to them???
They would therefore like to know if you can access some addresses.

It would probably be easer if you followed the link bellow (assuming you can?) and read the last post on my topic.

If however, you can’t access the link would you please try these two?

http://freehostia.com
http://forum.freehostia.com

And while your at it, can you try my site again, please.

Sorry about this, but you seem to have created interest in your problem.

Thanks very much...

Select people can't see my forum, any ideas.
CHAPTER 7

Okay, my friend is unable to access any of the links from the above post!!!
Do you have any more sugestions?

If it is, as you suspect, his ISP blocking access to FreeHostia is there any thing we can do about it?

Yours,

EDIT... His has not told me whether he can gain access via a "Proxy Server", I will ask him again.

Ummmm, this is very very odd. I guess he doesnt have any trouble accessing any other website (thats not hosted at freehostia)?

I am out of ideas bar to try the proxy server, then we can determin if its his PC or his ISP.

Anyone from support got any input on this?

Edit: Is it also possible for him to try a different computer? Libary, school/work, friends etc?
