Um, ok...but I don't WANT or need the domain. If the only option is to pay for a domain then I'm going to have to pass and look elsewhere. A friend of mine uses freehostia as a subdomain-type hosting, and that's all I'm looking for. Unless the club I'm doing the website for wants to (and I know they don't, yet) pay for the domain, I'm not going to.

Please note that our supervisors have decided to stop creation of a new subdomains in our system with all of our hosting packages, because we have received many abuse reports regarding phishing / scam sites registered with our (.freehostia) free subdomains.



Therefore you have to register a new domain for your account or to transfer an existing one to it. This can be done during the sign up process on step one.
