Using your web browser you should open the web address of the folder where you have uploaded your phpBB2 forum.

These are the installation settings you should submit:

Basic Configuration

Default board language: English
Database Type: MySQL 4.x
Choose your installation method: Install

Database Configuration

Database Server Hostname / DSN: server name (this is the name of the server where your account is - for example - yourusername.server.com - server.com is the sever name, so you need to put server.com here)
Your Database Name: your database name
Database Username: your database name
Database Password: your database password
Prefix for tables in database: phpbb_

NOTE: You can see/edit/create the MySQL Database in the 'Manage SQL Databases' section of your web hosting control panel.

Admin Configuration

Admin Email Address: valid e-mail address
Domain Name: yourdomain.com (leave by default)
Server Port: 80 (leave by default)
Script path: /phpBB2/ (leave by default)
Administrator Username: master username (for example: admin)
Administrator Password: master password
Administrator Password [ Confirm ]: master password

phpBB Forum Installation Edited by: =cipher=
Remember that if you are an Advanced user you can change and play around with the MySQL and different installation settings so that you can get more then one phpBB2 Forum installed on one database.

2) How to install an IPB Forum

Using your web browser you should open the web address of the folder where you have uploaded your Invision Power Board.

These are the installation settings you should submit:

Your Server Environment

IPB 'index.php' URL: (leave by default)

Your SQL Environment

SQL Driver: MYSQL
SQL Host: server name
SQL Database Name: database name
SQL Username: database name
SQL Password: database password
SQL Table Prefix: (You can leave this blank and IPB will use 'ibf_' as a default)

Your Admin Account

Username: master username (for example: admin)
Password: master password
Re-type your password: master password
Email Address: valid e-mail address
