As every forum should have one, and no one here has made one i thought it would be appropriate to start a topic about Linux.

What distro's do you use? and what would you recommend to people wanting to learn how to use Linux.

I use Debian Etch, as for people that want to learn it, i would always recommend Ubuntu / Kubuntu, as it doesn't require an install.

Another curiosity question is how is your system setup for harddisk managment. I had many problems with linux when i first started, that buggered up my MBR, so now i have two drives, oene Linux Debs other M$ Windblows.

Personally for those wanting to learn more about Linux, get used to what is different, etc. I recommend either using Ubuntu (any desktop flavour would work), Zorin, or Sabayon. Ubuntu just for the different feel, Zorin since it comes with WINE and WINETricks installed by default, and Sabayon since it's a rolling release distro that uses beta/alpha packages for most of the software it runs.
