Hello, I recently opened a free account here, and when I put all the necessary info on Filezilla and press connect, appears the following: Status: Waiting to retry... Status: Resolving address of myweb.co.cc Status: Connecting to 114.207.244.142:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Response: 421 Service not available. Error: Could not connect to server Anyone knows whats going on? In other ftp's Filezilla work's just fine. So the program isnt the problem. |

Hello, I have checked the who.is information for your domain and you are not using our name servers for it, therefore you face this issue. Please access your co.cc account and set your domain to point to the following DNS servers: dns1.freehostia.com / IP: 66.40.52.47 dns2.freehostia.com / IP: 66.40.66.152 Note that the name servers update takes 24 hours in order the name servers to propagate worldwide and your domain name to become operational in your account with us. Then you should not face this issue any more. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. |

Great, thanks. I now just need to know where the hell put that info in the CP of co.cc I suppose it needs to do with the Zone record option. But doesnt accept the characters when i choose any of the options. Anyone knows? pd: I know this is a forum just for freehostia, but cant find help anywhere else. And co cc It doesnt help much. |

So, I log in into the co.cc panel and I go to Zone Records: And there are 4 fields to put info in. 1.- The first is host, which i am guessing I put "mysite.co.cc" 2.- The second one, Its a drop down list of TTL ( which I havent got a clue what does that mean) and gives you the options of : 1h,2h,3h,4h,6h,8h,12h,1d,2d,3d,4d,7d. What do I need to choose here? 3.- Another drop down list to select for "type". And the options given are: A, MX, NS, CNAME & TXT Anybody got a clue which one should I choose? 4.- Last is the value field. Where I suppose I will need to put either the dns or the ip address. Because both at the same time doesnt let me. Any clues on this please? |
