There was a temporary server issue several hours back, which was the reason for the troubles that you have noticed. Our system administrators have managed to resolve this case and all services are now properly operational. Please check this again from your end.

Can you tell me whether you're able to reboot the server remotely (i.e. when away from the office as it were)? If there's downtime in the holidays are you able to initiate a solution?

Our servers are constantly monitored 24/7, 365 days an year, so there is no such period that we are away from the office or servers to be left without monitoring.

Has anyone had problems adding their freehostia account to their iphone or ipad?

I can't seem to do either, even though I believe I have followed the instructions to the letter. I have added and deleted and then added the account again several times and I always get an error message saying i need to verify the server details.

I seem to have exhausted the advice at Tech Support. Any advice or sharing of your experience would be fab.

There should be no trouble to do so. If a trouble is noticed, please open a trouble ticket from your account with us and provide us with exact error messages noticed as well as details you are using, so we will be able to review this case for you and assist you further.
