I'm currently planning on hosting a subdomain with freehostia.com. I know from previous experience that you would set an A Record in the DNS, but what A record should I use with Freehostia?

Hello,

There are no global IP addresses that we can provide for you. You should add the needed host to yoru account with us via Hosted Domains menu. The domain/subdomain will be assigned on a shared hosting server IP address. Go to My Domains > DNS Records menu and click on the domain to list all records. Check the IP address, which your desired host is assigned on, so you can redirect your host to that IP address.
If there is anything else we can help with, feel free to write.
