I made my index.html file and stylesheet.css file but when I update them my website stays unchanged. I know my html and css are fine but did I put it in the wrong place or do I have to do something else?

Hello and welcome,

Could you please post a link to your website so I can try and identify the problem.

Regards
Josh

No matter what I do. It doesn't even change the website to white or anything.

ok, it might be something as simple as this,

change:
Code:
<link href="/css/simple.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style type="text/css">
<!--
@import url("/css/layout.css");
-->
</style>

to

Code:
<link href="css/simple.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

I looked at my website and under source codes I see what you are showing but that isn't what I have in my codes at all. I have

<link href="css/simple.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

in my codes. Is it possible I put them in the wrong place? I put them in the same folder. I have tried copy and pasting generic codes off of the internet in the files just in case it was my coding that was messed up but they do not work either. I am really confused as to what is going on.

I think when I updated my DNS servers it never went through. So I did that again but I will update here if my codes still will not work. Thank you for your help.

Try clearing your internet cache and restart browser then go to your site and see if it fixes. If not, hit F5 a few times... That usually works with me when I have a similiar problem. DNS would be if you changed or modified the domain of your website if I'm not mistaken, so would have nothing to do with the CSS of the site.
