Post subject:  Wordpress wp-login.php rename

I was reading that there was/is massive bruteforce attack at WordPress sites. The attack is targeting the file wp-login.php and try to connect using admin as user. One very simple solution for protecting the site and the server is to rename file wp-login.php to something else.

I renamed my wp-login.php and edited all references inside the file to new name. I managed to login successfully and to use site but now when i try to log-out i receive the error that file wp-login.php does not exist. Can someone help me with information what other file refers to wp-login.php when i try to log-out ?

Please note that those attacks took place about 2 monts ago. The solution offered was for the administrator usernames to be different than the default "admin" and not renaming the script login file as it is used by the cms and the filename should remain the same. If you are experiencing roubles, feel free to open a ticket to the support team with the issue.
